Honesty, without Expectation.

What is it that truly creates disappointment? Is it the void of an expectation being met? And speaking of expectations, does honesty affect that?

If we were to think of it like an equation, could it look something like,

Honesty - Expectation = Genuine, Happiness

I am hoping to be able to share not only a perspective but what I believe to be the significance of honesty without expectation. From this I hope to shed light on a belief, that happiness does stem from honesty and that the equation is correct.
